Handmade Heroes: Product Review + GIVEAWAY (open internationally)

By 10:25 ,

One of my resolutions for this year is to switch to using vegan & cruelty-free makeup and body-care products, so when Lynsey contacted me to do a review of her products, I was elated! Lynsey is the founder of Handmade Heroes, an all-natural, vegan and paraben-free skin care line that's made locally in Singapore! She has kindly sent me these four products to try.

Butt Kickin' Deep Detoxing Coffee Scrub in Cinnamon Chai
I love to add cinnamon to everything and I've recently started to like drinking coffee, but never would I have thought that they could come together in a scrub! My dad thought that it smelled like food haha
The organic coffee and cinnamon oils are supposed to stimulate blood flow and circulation. I can't really feel if my circulation improved, but after using it on my tummy and thighs, they were super smooth and moisturised! Like I didn't even know that they were dry but WOW.

Coco-licious Lucious Lip Scrub in Coconut Sorbet
This is made with raw virgin organic coconut oil and dehydrated coconut. It smelled SO good when I was applying it - it reminded me of a nyonya kueh! It tasted delicious too!
It scrubbed of the dead skin on my lips and they felt so hydrated after. A small container goes a long way - all you need is a pea-size at most (unless you plan on just eating it lol!)

Coco-friggin' Fantastic Lip Tint in French Rose
This was very moisturising and stayed on my lips for hours. It glides on smoothly and has a faint floral scent. Unlike the lip scrub, the coconut smell isn't really prominent here, despite being made mostly of virgin coconut oil!
It's suggested to use this over a lipstick but I feel that the colour is pigmented enough such that it can be used in place of a lipstick. Or maybe that's because I don't use lipsticks LOL.

I'm used to using Hurraw's line of lipbalms, and they've one black cherry lip balm that's also tinted. Comparatively, the smoothness is about the same but this Handmade Heroes liptint has much much more colour payoff (lolol you can tell that I regularly watch Tried & Tested). Plus, the Handmade Heroes's one is LEFT HANDED wow. Okay not that it makes any difference to the product (and the right-handers probably won't even notice) but the words are facing the correct way when I hold it in my left hand omg. :') *puts Hurraws away*

Drop Dead Gorgeous Dry Shampoo in Sexy Brunette
Good for when there's no time to shower after a workout, or just when you're too lazy to wash your hair (that's me!) I feel that my hair is at it's best when I don't wash it for a day, but at the later half of the day it starts getting a bit too greasy. So this works really well to make my hair feel wonderfully fresh again! There's a cooling feeling and a minty smell from the peppernint oil in this product. It doesn't leave a powdery residue, but refrain from scratching your head or else it'll come out in your nails!

I totally love the creative product names and pretty packaging (which is also completely BPA-free!)
