Roti-Alkas Kitchen is a fully vegetarian North Indian restaurant that's newly opened at West Coast Plaza! I heard lotsa good reviews about how the food (especially the wraps!) is authentic and wholesome, plus I love Indian food and it's located near the area I live!

West Coast Plaza used to be a horrible vegan/vegetarian-unfriendly place, but with the opening of Real Food and now this restaurant, I can see myself going there more often!
It's that time of the year again. Christmas, New Year's and not long after, Chinese New Year. Important holidays that mean having a meal with your family and most likely, extended family.

I find that family gatherings to be quite an... ordeal. Other than the excuseatarian questions, there's also having to sit and eat at a table full of dead animals.

I went for a Vegan Potluck Picnic earlier today (for lunch), which was hosted by Yishuai (@morethanveggies), Ting Ting (@vegting) and Sheryl (@shihngin).
(I probably remember people's Instagram names better than their real names.)

It was super duper sunny and hot, but thankfully it didn't rain like the weather forecast said it would! I believe that I've got enough Vitamin D for a few weeks lols.

I met many familiar faces whom I know from the previous two potlucks (click here & here to read more!)(am I the only one who's been to all 3?) but the real difference is that I CAME WITH A FRIEND. Like omg I've been waiting for this day for ages! :') So I brought my friend Ya Fan, who's been vegetarian for over a month and has transitioned to veganism. Nothing to do with me at all though (lols she admitted that she used to make fun of me), but I'm so very very glad for her!!!!!! :') :')
I've always thought that garlic was something that was really healthy, with almost a 'superfood' status. I used to hate it (because my mum hates it lols) but then over a year ago I decided that I should eat more of it, because it was healthy. So I ate garlic on-and-off, 'on' being having 3-4 cloves of garlic in my dinner daily, 'off' being not having garlic at all (either because I ran out of garlic or I was lazy to chop it up). And my mum always tells me to stop eating it, because it makes the house stink and makes me 'smell manly' -_-

I went to Banana Island for 3 days! Well, not the real island (there is one!) but it's a kind of a detox where you just eat bananas*. (I hate using the word detox though, sounds so fad-diet-y.) It's part of my second Raw Vegan 801010 Week. I believe that every vegan/plant-based eater/801010-er would've heard of this! If you've not, I suggest that you view Freelee the Banana Girl's post (and her YouTube channel) and this post by one hungry mami. The posts have been quite helpful for me! :)

*Not exactly just bananas; tender greens, celery, cucumber, cinnamon and vanilla are allowed.
As for me, I had baby butterhead lettuce, romaine lettuce, medjool dates, organic raw carob powder and organic cinnamon powder (and water of course!) in addition to bananas. (..And a few berries in one meal.)
I'll be eating raw vegan 801010 in this upcoming 1 week, from tomorrow (Monday) to Sunday! It will be my second time doing this :) I've realised that many of my non-recipe posts are really messy and random, so I'll do it in a more organised, 5W and 1H way. The following info is to the best of my knowledge! Correct me if I'm wrong please.

Made lunch for my family (Mum, Dad and I) yesterday! I've not had tacos before actually, so these are very un-authentic. (Oh wait, or maybe I have. I think I had a taco bowl once when I was in Canada 2 years ago. It was so greasy and the veggies were limp x_x )

This is somewhat like a clear-out-the-fridge kinda meal, because I'm eating raw next week, and my parents don't cook during the weekdays!
Reindeer Black Bean Brownies! Gluten-free, refined sugar-free, oil-free black bean macadamia nut brownies with reindeer-y details. I love how there's so many cute food ideas during this festive season! :)

Went to Brownice with two of my friends on Wednesday!

They've got new items on their menu since the last time I went! Even though we arrived like 10 mins after they opened at 1pm, the pizza was sold out. Which was disappointing. Well, that just gives me another reason to go back! :)
I started doing #foodartfriday on Instagram - so here's today's art!
It's an ice cream cone, with a banana-tangerine cake as the 'cone', and banana slices as the 'ice cream'.
Cone: banana-tangerine cake, raw tahini, strawberry & banana slices, cacao sauce
Ice cream: banana slices, cacao drizzle, pomegranate seeds, sunflower seeds
Upside-Down Apple Lemon Dome Cake! Stuffed with more apple chunks and whipped vanilla tofu cream. With cherries, frozen blueberries, strawberries and melty chocolate coconut milk ice cream. Made with oat flour.

This turned out much more messier than intended, oops! I think it's because I cooked the apples too long. Next time I'll just slice the apples thinly and place then in the bowl without cooking them.

I received The Liebster Award from the lovely Sophia (healthiepanda) a couple of weeks back, and now that my school tests are over, I can finally do this!
Thank you so much Sophia for giving me my very first blog award!! ♡
Remember my Sandwich Paradise from a few months back? Well, here's a mini version of it! ^^

➀ Unsalted peanut butter, banana hearts, blueberries, gojiberries & cacao nibs.
➁ Raw tahini, (perfectly ripe) avocado, and a sprinkle of nutritional yeast, black sesame seeds and pumpkin floss.
➂ Vegan olive margarine, fig slices, tangerine & chia seeds.
➃ Black tahini, strawberry, kiwi, hemp hearts & pine nuts.
On toasted dark rye bread.
Okay, I have to admit, I had no idea what to call this.
And I might have gone a little overboard with the overlays again. :x

A pizza... or an edible plate?

Tropical Fruit Pizza on a Gluten-Free Pumpkin Crust!
A crumbly, (and yet it holds together enough to pick it up in your hand!) thin, pumpkin crust topped with silky smooth avocado-orange cream, cubed mango and dragonfruit, goji berries, millet puffs and a large scoop of So Delicious' Chocolate Coconut Milk Ice Cream!!
